Hey there, are you a fan of the Super Powers Collection? Well, since you are reading a Hawkman blog, I am going to assume that you are. So head on over to either Firestorm Fan or The Aquaman Shrine and listen to episode 17 of The Fire And Water Podcast, where Shag and Rob talk about the Super Powers toys we all loved as kids, including Hawkman! (And Aquaman and Firestorm, too!)
Firestorm, Aquaman, and Hawkman were some of the few Super Powers figures that survived my childhood to be passed down to my own children. The Aquaman has since been lost, but the other two still see regular play alongside their (much less articulated) JLU action figures.
I have pretty much all of my brother and my Super Powers Collection toys from childhood, along with the Secret Wars toys as well. Most are in decent shape (Kalibak is infamously missing his arm), but sadly they are all without accessories. When the boys are older I am sure they will be broken out to be enjoyed once again!
Hawkman stands on my Hawkman toy shelf, naturally.
After earning two degrees and working in industry, Luke decided to start blogging. He now devotes his time to his hobbies: peeling things off of other things, and watching the radio.
Welcome to my journey into Hawk fandom! This blog covers all generations of the Winged Wonders, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, from the Golden Age to today, and everything in between.
