Is there any Hawk-related stuff we can expect to see at the local comic shops today? Let's find out!
JLA/The 99 #1 -- Hawkman seems to play a pretty big role in this crossover, if his appearance on the covers and name-drops in the solicits are any indication. I like the idea of international heroes, but being a Red Stater and all I have my concerns as to where exactly this book's head is going to be at. In any event I'll wait and check it out in collected form.

I went to the comic shop today and I passed on the JLA cross-over, but was excited by a blurb I saw in CSInsider that seems to confirm that James Robinson will be writing a Hawkman series.
I didn't go to the shop this week, so I will have to check that one out... certainly fits with the rumors and the accidental "slip" Robinson made back at NYCC.
Something is definitely up about Hawkman. Any time anyone, particularly James Robinson, is asked about Hawkman specifically, we read of management instantly butting in with "no comment," and "we can't say anything about that," and the like. I don't think they'd put so much effort into keeping silent unless something big were planned. On the other hand, "something big" might mean radical changes in the nature or direction of the characters that many Hawkfans won't like.
