As we continue to count down to the DCnU (ugh), is there anything with Hawkman or Hawkgirl gracing the stands? Let's find out!
Blackest Night TP -- In case you missed it in single issues, then on the second printings, then on the Hardcover, you can now get Blackest Night in this softcover collection. I'd really like to pull the books out and read them again -- maybe that is a project for later in the summer? Of course considering how far behind I am on other projects that may not be a great idea.

Hawkman actually does get a spotlight this week. Batman The Brave and the Bold #9
It's about Hawkman and Batman transporting Byth to Thanagar. The Atom and Hawkgirl both get cameos, as do the bulk of Hawkman's rogue gallery at the very end.
They appear to have gone for a blending of the mythos. Hawkman is the reincarnated warrior from Ancient Egypt, but his most recent reincarnation was as a Thanagarian wingman. Not a bad compromise, at least for the limited storytelling space of the guest spot in the single issue of a comic aimed at kids.
Thanks for the heads up, Mr P! I will have to go pick that up at my LCS next week. (Special bonus: the Family Dollar close to Borderlands now carries my favorite obscure soda, Fanta Pineapple. Score!)
